Today my friend JL and I met for lunch. It's been about 6 months since we last visited and we had so much to tell each other. Holidays. Families. Work. Dreams. Gossip. Movies. Books. We enjoyed slurping on our point friendly Pho soup. We enjoyed the ease that comes with friends who trust each other. I like that we can just pick up where we left off. No pretense. No games. Authentic conversation. We've embarked on a path to achieve a similar goal. Her determination strengthens mine. It's so much easier to climb a hill together. How lucky I am to have a friend that wants me to achieve my dreams.

I think it would be great if we lived so we could lunch together every six months. Just enought to stay in touch "over food" I think we could do it with ease. Thanks for all you've done to inspire me since 1976.
oh bonnie... i love this. it reminds me of how i feel about time i spend with mercedes and how i hate it that we are no longer in the same city. she is the one who introduced me to my favorite vietnamese pho soup in boston. i LOVE it now. i am also very blessed to have so many wonderful friends in my life who i can also just pick up where we left off. lucky us!!!
