The Truth About AirMiles.Ca
I've been gathering airmiles for years. I shop for groceries, buy gas, order pizza always with the idea of collecting those airmiles. Someone told me that the travel reward is the least productive and the least user friendly. I should have paid attention. I should have used all those points for Banana Republic gift cards or Indigo. Yes that might have actually given me something for nothing. But no, I was determined to use them for travel. After hours on the phone trying to organize a flight to attend a cousin's wedding, after having to spend a schwack of money because it was an international flight, after having to travel halfway across the country and back, I used up all the airmiles. My mother told me there were no free lunches. I should have believed her. Either that, or just used the credit card points. Much easier. Much more user friendly. So from today I will shop for groceries, buy gas, order pizza where I want. And chuck that airmiles card in the garbage for recycling.

...Or use the airmiles for Indigo and Banana Republic gift cards. Btw, I love the new background for your blog.
I often think that too...but again, I just stayed for free in Kalispell with my airmiles. And then James, me, my dad, and 4 kids flew to Florida for only a couple of hundred dollars....thanks to airmiles.
We are, however, thinking of switching to a different travel credit card...but I hate change.
