Yesterday I needed to see the orthopaedic surgeon in Banff to have an injection into my knee so I could put another couple thousand miles on it without it grinding. I invited JT to come up too - her last day in the third decade of her life. I arranged for some other friends to join us and to surprise JT. The doctor was running late. The time for the friends to arrive was imminent. I was growing restless. I didn't want to spoil the surprise. JT thought I was a little too agitated. Happily the friends came into the waiting room at the hospital, came up behind Janine and began to sing Happy Birthday. It was perfectly surprising to her.
Those smiles on our faces were not posed! We were having a great time. Look at that scenery. Look at all that wisdom, talent, experience, ability and friendship!
Later we noshed at Nourish (3rd floor of the Sundance Mall) on vegetarian wonderfulness.
At the Whyte Museum later in the afternoon, we listened to a guy named Bob with the wildest eyes but keen storytelling ability tell us about the Whyte's and the Moore's as we toured their living quarters from the turn of the century. A trip to Cows to enjoy some ice cream and then home.
PS: Don't you love JT's great handbag from Fossil?
