I've Got A Feeling

I'm a big Black Eyed Peas fan. I especially like that song I've Got a Feeling. And surely these days I do. I can feel that antsy feeling again swelling within with greater intensity. I can't ignore it anymore. It's a nagging butterfly-in-your-stomach feeling that you have just before you step onto the stage. It's the swelling energy needed to open that next door - a door yet to be named. I've done and been a lot of things in my life: teacher, public affairs media specialist, sales clerk (not a career move but definitely something I enjoyed), editor, political supporter, fund raiser, real estate associate, human resource assistant, seminar consultant. I've taken classes in advanced French conversation, mediation, cooking, sewing, calligraphy, computers and decorating. Pursuing the education and experience to qualify for these has stretched, challenged and tugged at me. It sometimes felt like a bird hatching from its constricting shell.

I should point out that I've never really mastered any of these roles and sometimes it seemed surely to people like my mother, that I was unstable and flighty. I landed ever so lightly at some of these while other times I parked for a few years. But now my plane is ready to take off again. It's risky. It's terrifying. But even more terrifying is to stay grounded.

How can you post this and not say what it is you're planning to do? You are definately accomplished. Can't wait to hear about the newest adventure.

Bonnie - Are you sharing the details? I understand the restlessness building - and I haven't finished what I've started!

Truthfully I am not sure where I am going to land. I am looking into a few avenues and will decide soon. I just know it has to happen and soon.

You express in words, what I never can. Do you know where you are going to land? or is it still just an urge? I had a reminder to myself that came up last week - to sign up for the online learning perquisite at U of C -then I get thinking, I am having such a terrible time with my memory - what if I can't even figure that out -then how could I ever take any courses? As you say isn't the alternative worse. I will pursue it today !!!
