Pup's playing in the province's final four tonight. The whole family including Mercedes are coming for the special weekend. If they win tonight, they're off to Truro, Nova Scotia for Nationals. We have noise makers, Mount Royal t-shirts and butterflies. I'm told someone in the family will be wearing a blue body suit.
These last few games will mark the end of a brilliant chapter in Pup's life. He's played basketball since he was five. Community, club, high school and now college ball. He has two more years of eligibility if he wants to play after his mission to France Lyon (May 30).
Pup's not a thick strapping boy. Many a player have underestimated his slight build. His quick hands, court sense, and tenacity make him a formidable competitor. He is a leader in steals. Much of his ability comes from playing in the garage with his older brother who was bigger, stronger and taller. Josh learned early how to control and keep it out of Nathan's hands.
It all comes down to 6 p.m. tonight. Pretty intense.
