I read a very funny rant Rachel wrote today as she observed some USA (read: Utah) cultural differences and why she is glad to be Canadian. Her voice is best when she is caustic and witty. She knows how to tell a good story and to keep her audience suspended with anticipation. She can make you laugh even when you are so darn mad at her you want to kick her. Her humour and rants are not just for humour sake. She makes unforgettable observations and editorials to upset everyone's status quo. She wants you to laugh but she also wants you to think and maybe even squirm a little.
Rachel has other admirable qualities. She has impeccable good taste in her wardrobe. She always looks really put together except of course when she is wearing her sweat pants and UGG boots but even then you would say she looked darling. Rachel bakes the most delicious cookies, cleans a house to perfection, reads continuously and has travelled in every continent except Oceania. She can quote a line from every movie she has seen. She loves babies and dogs and beautiful shoes and brightly coloured toenails. She's Grandpa White's favorite granddaughter for good reason. Rachel is a competent ICU nurse, a creative nursing instructor, and someone you want on your team when you are playing any word game. She has a tender heart and loves easily and quickly.
Rachel happy unbirthday.

That's a rant I'd like to read.
