I see now how pictures and more clever titles might add to your experience reading the blog entries of my trip. There is part of me that knows these places where we visit have been photographed by better cameras and photographers than I and a google search will produce many for you. What is particularly exciting for me is that we are in the pictures. I would longing look at these places as a young woman and wonder if I would ever see them and now this is my reality.

Notre Dame from the back |
We visited again Notre Dame, then headed over to the Ile St Louis where we spent consider time shopping in the little boutiques and eating ice cream at Berthillon’s. I had a chocolat noir and a tangerine that were so incredibly delicious together. From here we walked along the bridge into the latin quarter.

The mesh wire on the bridge is covered with locks with lovers’ initials and the dates they sealed that love on the bridge. It looks rather tacky and reminds me a little of the disposed gum people have left on the barbed wire fence at Assiss.
We enjoyed shopping for our fruits, vegetables and cheeses at the wonderful Place de Maubert before we went to the Luxembourg Gardens to see the Marc Chagall exhibit. Bob and I laughed for he had such a visceral dislike forf the exhibit and I loved many especially his illustrations of Biblical stories.

Much to our delight we discovered the muse had an Angelina’s and we enjoyed some more hot chocolate. I have abandoned my quest for the perfect lemon tart and succumbed completely to the delicious Angelina’s hot chocolate africain. I could never understand coffee addictions but this chocolate creamy drink explains a few things. There are six locations in Paris area and I might have to rearrange my itinerary to include these instead.

Wow Bonnie, this was a splendid adventure. Aren't you glad you had as much time as you did to enjoy it all? I don't think I am smart enough for a trip like this without a guide. I don't think I would have moved past the Hot Chocolate spot!
