She got herself dressed up for church. Love the dark socks. She wears a big cross on Sundays and to Bible study. Her devotion is admirable. |

Little dry skin patches form on her legs. They worry her that this is cancer. |
She wonders what all those black lines on her legs are. Maybe this is cancer?

When she showed me on her back where it hurt, I was aghast at the condition of her old bra which she has reclaimed. Her back hurts so much she can't sit on a chair anymore without putting her fist back there to protect it. Maybe she has cancer in her spine? |

She worries that the brown spots on her hands are cancer. She worries that the arthritic bumps on her hands are cancer. She is pretty sure the doctor will admit her to the hospital because of all these problems. Pretty sure she is sick and that God is coming to take her home.
I left her house this afternoon and had a good cry. Nothing in our exchange today filled the emptiness in her nor me. As I dusted the cookie crumbs from the corner of her mouth and kissed her goodbye, I was glad to know that at least a cookie still brought her some satisfaction.
