Some months ago, I wrote how Used to Be Mother kept track of her money which you can read here.
Monday while she was visiting, I asked her to roll the coins, a task she has enjoyed many times.
She started with the pennies. Ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty. She put them into the 50 cent paper holder.
UTBM: This isn't the right paper. There's too much room for the fifty cents.
I explained those were pennies and not dimes.
UTBM: Why am I so stupid?
She struggled with the nickels counting by fives.
The dimes were easier but she couldn't fit them into the folder.
When she had completed the task, she asked me what I was going to do with all that money (it sounded like I had grown rich with a few rolled coins).

i wish she wouldn't say that about herself. it makes me sad.
I know from experience that they realize something is wrong and they do not know what it is. That is the hardest part of this devastating disease. She is happy in her own little world and Bonnie, you are doing more than any daughter would do in this very difficult situation. Xoxoxoxo.....Cathy
