While I was making this bread earlier this morning, I envisioned these beautiful well shaped loaves and how this post would have you all drooling for a slice of my 100% whole wheat bread. I ground the flour. All 13 cups worth. I let my Bosch do all the dirty work. I used a new recipe someone had shared today. It had lemon juice for a dough enhancer. Yes it softens the dough but this dough which is normally very heavy, was slipping through my hands. The challenge with untried things!Such disappointment. The aroma fills the house with so much promise. I can't imagine this will taste bad - it will just look nasty. I cut the first slice. It's not rock hard.
Some time later....delish! A little hummus, some tomato with lots of crushed black pepper. Divine. Nice nutty flavor. Soft but definite crust. We'll have to work on beautifying this later. I am too busy eating now.
