Time Running Out on 2010 Goals

Things I thought were important in January 2010 to do this year but remain unfinished:

1) losing 10 pounds - I'm apparently a better finder than loser
2) read entire Old Testament - with 21 chapters left to go, it is so close but I may have to read well into the New Year's night.
3) go to the temple each month - 10/12 - maybe I could sit in the temple all day and read my scriptures?
4) learn a new hobby - does texting count?
5) writing the LSAT - studying for it revealed that my mind needs tidying

We built and furnished a new home this year. We travelled. We entertained and were entertained. We carried the leaden weight of cancer and felt the sorrow of loss. We watched a whack of movies and read lots of books. We worked out and rode bikes and took long hikes. We moved my mother out west.We laughed a good deal. We enjoyed our lives despite the weather. And now 2010 is nearly finished. Not a wasted year. Not "a just putting in time" year. As I look 2011 in the face, I consider it a personal challenge to live more fully, laugh more deeply, love more intensely, make the hours and days and weeks count for something.I'm not dead yet.

That's one of my goals: not to be dead yet. How many points are you giving for that one?

At least you set goals and are working towards them...good for you. Part of my goal problem is that if I don't "finish" or "meet" my goal, then I'm discouraged.

Happy New Year.
