I started and ended a job today at the local newspaper. I should have asked more questions during the interview but I was just so tickled that I had been offered the job right on the spot. Tomorrow I will turn in their security key and reclaim my status of the unemployed.
I took notes today during the training session like a college undergraduate but I could see that once I had mastered the program they use for their obits, I would have a long day of mind numbing paper shuffling. No creativity. No stimulation. And though I could use my French and have a pay cheque and work out in their gym for free, these aren't enough reasons to stay.
I'm not sure what troubles me more: that I jump in and out of things so quickly or that I can never find that niche.

well maybe you do jump in and out---but you are taking an honest journey and that is worth a lot in my book.
Look at all the fun experiences you've had in the process. You are not a paper shuffler.
I agree with the other comments - what character you showed to know that this wasn't for you - even though you honestly thought it could be! Good for you, my friend, good for you (p.s. LOVE the cartoon!!)
